Belgium vs Egypt
Competition: International friendly
Date: 6 June 2018
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Belgium’s game against Portugal the other day went pretty much the way everyone expected, in the sense that Belgium tried to keep possession, create, while the Portuguese were happy to sit back, and try their luck in counterattacks. The Belgians failed to score, so the game ended in a goalless draw. It should be mentioned that they had scored in their previous 16 matches, and usually more than once. Last time they had been kept to nil was back in September 2016, in a friendly game versus Spain. Panama, Tunisia and England are the three teams they’ll face in the World Cup finals group stage, in that order. Unlike most other finalists, they will play one more friendly game, against Costa Rica, before flying to Russia.
Egypt’s double chance paid a massive (for a double chance) 2.60 the other day when they faced Colombia, that was my main tip, and it came good, as the North Africans earned a goalless draw. They have now scored just one goal in their last three matches, but the situation should improve spectacularly if things go according to plan, and Mohamed Salah is indeed fit to play in the finals. It feels that Egypt’s mission in the finals depends on Salah’s fitness. No disrespect meant to the rest of the guys in the squad, but without Salah they are simply a good team. It’s the Liverpool star who makes them… special, who allows the whole country to dream of a top-2 finish, in a group that has Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia as well.

Belgium vs Egypt: Head to head Stats
Belgium and Egypt have met twice before, both games were friendly ones, and interestingly, Egypt won both, 1-0 in 1999, and 4-0(!) in 2005.
Belgium vs Egypt: Prediction
The game is held in Brussels, not at some neutral venue. The hosts are considered huge favorites to win the game, and I agree with that. Egypt are not Portugal, I doubt they’ll manage to keep a clean sheet.
Belgium vs Egypt: Betting Tips
Belgium’s win doesn’t pay more than 1.30. Unlike a few days ago, this time I expect them to find the back of the net, and actually enough times to push the score over 2.5. Like that, their victory pays a much better 1.95.
